PIKAS ARE LOVE

I am absolutely delighted to have discovered this community! I recently went hunting for some great pictures of pikas--since they are so underrepresented--and compiled them in my journal with a bit of dialogue. I think I'll repost them here. Some of the pictures under the cut can be very big, so you might want to be careful! Hope you enjoy them.


"Hi! I'm a little pika getting ready for Christmas! When the snow comes it's hard to find good food, so I have to stock up!"


"When I'm not busy collecting leaves and grass, I keep watch on the rocks for predators! I'm sure many sky-demons would love to swoop down on innocent pikas like me and my pals, so I stay vigilant against their uninvited claws!"


"Is that an eagle? I sure hope not! Otherwise I'd have to notify everyone around me with my cute little 'eeeeeeeek!'"

"Yum, these leaves sure are tasty! I need to keep my strength up so I can live my pointless life among the rocks on this mountain!"


"Pointless? But I like the pointy rocks best."


"That's a good catch today! I'll just set this out to dry on some rocks and it'll be all ready by the time the snow starts falling!"

"Are there any tasty flowers here? Those are my favourite, you know. Especially when they're fresh."
